How to copy custom groups from previous academic years to the current academic year

If you have created custom groups for the previous academic year (2019/20), then we have made it straightforward for you to copy these across to your current year (2020/21) so that you can continue to use these to create more targeted interventions/activities in the system.

From September 1st 2020, you will be able to copy these from your previous academic year 2019/20 to your current academic year 2020/21. You will need to:

Step 1: Navigate to ‘Plans’ in the main navigation and select ‘Manage groups’

Step 2: Select ‘2019/20 (previous)’ in the Academic year drop down, and ‘Custom groups’ in the Group Type drop down

Step 3: Select the icon highlighted below in order to copy that group to your current academic year

Step 4: A modal will display, this will continue to show any groups or individual pupils that might still be relevant to this group in the current academic year (where they are still on roll), allowing you to easily delete or add individual pupils or groups to the custom group
